Mona Thomas
Chief Administrative Officer / Proposal Manager
As Acuity's Chief Administrative Officer, Mona Thomas oversees all company operations, including facilities, security, contracts management, information technology, and accounting. She works closely with Acuity's managing partners and directors to ensure the cost-effective management of resources and the delivery of quality services to Acuity clients. In addition, as Proposal Manager, she directs Acuity's proposal process from initial strategy to concept to presentation to the customer.
Ms. Thomas has nearly 25 years of experience in financial management and auditing. She began her career with the United States Air Force, conducting audits on major weapon system acquisition programs. She later served as Comptroller of the Air Force Audit Agency, where she was responsible for the planning, programming, budgeting, and execution of all agency funds. She has consulted for multiple Department of Defense clients, including the Defense Information Systems Agency, where she oversaw the development of a critical transition plan to support the overhaul of the Air Force One fleet, and the Missile Defense Agency, where she led a team that managed all formulation and execution processes for the Kinetic Energy Inceptor Directorate.
Ms. Thomas has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Data Systems and Information Technology from the University of Texas at San Antonio, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Texas Lutheran University. She is a CDFM-A, and is an active member of the American Society of Military Comptrollers and Institute of Internal Auditors.
